
The Hayden Planetarium brings scientific expertise to the outreach activities of the museum and the community-at-large. They operate within the Astrophysics Department in the Division of Physical Sciences. High-profile events that bring to the Museum leading experts on the frontier of science to discuss or debate important issues concerning the astrophysical sciences in society. Most notably, the annual Isaac Asimov Memorial Panel Debate brings the finest minds in the world to the Museum each Spring to debate pressing questions on the frontier of scientific discovery.
